Spokes Supporting Spondylitis

Meet the Manitou Spokes:

Meet Me :

Meet Ankylosing Spondylitis:

Meet the fundraiser I developed with Manitou Spokes to support the Spondylitis Association of America...

Dear Friends, Family, and Followers smile emoticon
On July 25, 2015, I will be biking to the top of Pikes Peak (14, 115 ft. elevation) in an effort to raise money for Spondylitis Association of America. I have been diagnosed with Ankylosing Spondylitis. Currently, there is no cure for this condition. SAA is the largest non-profit organization in the U.S. that dedicates all of its resources to fighting spondylitis. I personally organized this fundraising event and bike ride with my community bike group, Manitou Spokes. I am so proud of the fact that I have been able to keep my mobility over the last 2 1/2 years and still be able to do this ride. Movement is an important way to help keep AS symptoms at bay and can help keep mobility overtime as well as keep symptoms down. That is one of the reasons I chose a challenging bike ride to raise money. I want to challenge myself to keep moving, go further, and live like I don't have AS . Please, please, please support my ride up Pikes Peak, the Spondylitis Association of America, and bringing more awareness to the world on the fight against spondylitis. I could not do it without all of you. Please find more information on AS, the event, and how to donate at www.crowdrise.com/spokesforspondylitis. Anything you can spare to donate is much appreciated. Please contact me at carrollama@gmail.com if you have questions or comments.
Love to you all. More to come soon, promise :)
